The EQ901 Elite is an ultra high performance replacement for existing BOSE 901 Series I/II, III/IV or V/VI Equalizers.  It provides the BOSE 901 specific equalizer curves with four tone variations designed to accommodate a wide range room conditions and recording variations.  The EQ901 Elite is intended to be used with high quality power amplifiers or integrated amplifiers/receivers. Based on the miniDSP 2x4 HD the EQ901 Elite is our flagship equalizer building on our EQ901B series with lower distortion, greater dynamic range and higher fidelity made possible audiophile grade signal processors and DAC output stages

The EQ901 Elite Overview

  • The EQ901 Elite Series features four specifically designed equalization curves for unique to each Series I/II, III/IV or V/VI, option selectable.

  • Precise 901 equalization is performed digitally in an Analog Devices 400MHz SHARC DSP processor with 24 bit resolution

  • Two identical stereo pairs outputs are available allowing for dual active stereo systems (two stereo power amps) or the addition of dual active subwoofers

Typical Connections

Hardware Installation

When audio input and output connections are being made, be sure that all associated equipment is powered off.  When you power the EQ901 Elite on and off be sure that associated equipment is off first. Connect power to the EQ901 Elite before turning associated equipment on.

Remote Control Functions

Tone configurations selected on the remote control:

1.    Normal mode

2.    Enhanced mode

3.    Warm mode

4.    Low frequency reduction

Selecting Tonal Characteristics Modes

Selection of the tone mode is generally a subjective choice based on what sounds best to you.  Technically, Normal mode is the most neutral, Enhanced mode provides a richer sound with more treble and bass, Warm mode adds midrange with slight treble reduction, and Low frequency reduction mode is intended to control bass boom in smaller rooms .
